Taylor was outstanding. I had a 60-min deep tissue massage with cupping which was a great add-on. First time I tried cupping. I left with no pain. Highly recommend!
Driftwood Day spa is hands-down the best spa I have been to in a long long time! Christina is phenomenal and she knows exactly what pressure to use on my body without me even having to tell her, it’s like her hands are magical!
I’ve been impressed with this place since they opened! I used a different therapist today and she was excellent. I’ve been using Taylor for some time and she’s awesome but she wasn’t available today so I was able to meet with Cassandra. She is also amazing! I’ve yet to be disappointed.
I got the head spa by Christina! She was phenomenal and my head feels so refreshed! The front staff was also very kind and helpful throughout the experience. I highly recommend them!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
