…He co mbined the treatment with deep tissue massage, cupping, and more massage—each technique thoughtfully layered to maximize relief. I appreciated that they accepted my insurance and clearly explained the cost upfront. I left feeling noticeably better, both physically and emotionally.
Doctor Shi is extremely knowledgeable and experienced and patient. Prior to each session, he spends time to understand the patients concerns and find out how much improvement went from one session to another. You may not find much difference during the first session, but after the second you will begin seeing results.
I've been getting treatments for stress and balance among other ailment I've had through the years from Dr. Shi and I absolutely recommend his services. Not only does he have a good bedside manner he will make time for his patients when needed.
You cant go wrong with Dr Shi.He is an expert and you can tell that he cares. He is a very humble but passionate about what He does. You can just tell. He has been all I need to ease the pains that were taking over my life. My wrists were a source of much discomfort for over a year now.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
