Initially, I chose "Apollo Rehab" because their Tamarac office (next to Planet Fitness off North University Drive) being near my home. I soon found out that I hit the Jackpot. This is not the kind of rehab place you hear people complaining about.
First let me give a shout out to the staff Alyssa, Josue, JD, Julia and Samantha. You guys are the best. I just recently finished my PT for replacement knee surgery and it was such a pleasure going to your facility.
I went to Apollo as a referral from my orthopedic doctor and it's obvious why they are so highly recommended. The staff are all very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating and my recovery progress is ahead of schedule. I'm always met with a smile upon arrival and feel more than accomplished when I leave.
I came to Apollo Rehab on referral from my podiatrist after getting fed up with pain in both my ankles that persisted for almost a decade. I was able to make an appointment for evaluation quickly and easily. The facility is always kept clean which is important to me.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
