From the reviews

Best acupuncturist I've ever had. I've been seeing Dr. Robin for over 20 years. So happy she has opened a new clinic in Lafayette, CA. I've had chronic back pain for many years and she has helped me significantly decrease the pain level and reoccurrence of flare ups.

Best acupuncture treatment I've ever had! I experienced dramatic results after one treatment. Dr. Robin listened to all of concerns while addressing some I didn't even know I had. Her cozy space is inviting and very well thought-out. I love the personal touches like candles and a comfortable table!

★★★★★ — Chenoa, Oct 2025

I wasn't expecting the Great Results I've gotten from Dr. Robin's treatments and I was expecting acupuncture to hurt (always has, that's how ya know it works, right?). My body is actually healing, beyond symptom relief, and I have much more energy! The needles don't hurt, so I relax. Dr.

Dr Robin really listened to me to understand my situation. She is an intuitive healer and a wonderful acupuncturist. Totally pain free and helped my shoulder mobility with her acupuncture treatment.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
