What clients say about the cupping here
“Justin was a great listener and offered a variety of paths to wellness relating to my condition.”
From the reviews
I was referred to Justin from a good friend studying to become an acupuncturist. I was raised holistically, but one day found myself with a challenging health opportunity after coming up positive to Blastocystis Hominis. My digestive system was in disrepair, and I was suffering from Chronic Fatigue.
For the past several years Justin has been the main practitioner managing my medical care. I found him after years of struggling with unexplained medical problems. I had seen and worked with many many doctors and other practitioners before him without any help.
As a community colIege instructor who lectures ~15 hours a week, I came to Justin with a newly diagnosed vocal nodule. Western medicine offered me little in the way of workable solutions (avoid coffee and all acids, use a microphone when teaching).
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
