“Within minutes I was sharing more with her about what I had experienced during and after childbirth than I had with anyone since becoming post partum.”
“Not only did she coach me through exercises to improve my balance, strength, and core, but she explained why things were happening, and how these exercises would help.”
“She performed dry needling which sounded scary at first, but she made the experience very comfortable, and made sure I was okay during the process.”
“She’s helped me with so much, from scar massage to improve my incision site, to pelvic floor recovery, fixing my tight hips from back-to-back pregnancies, and rebuilding my core strength.”
“From our first visit to our last, she worked on what was important to ME, not what she deemed important as a therapist.”
From the reviews
If you only have 2 seconds to skim this review, know that Dr. Chelsea is the best pelvic floor therapist for pregnant women you can find- not just in the Scranton area but probably anywhere for that matter. But if you have maybe an extra 2 minutes and you’re trying to figure out if you should make the call- read this.
I cannot recommend Dr. Chelsea enough! After 2 years of hip issues, and working with another doctor for 8 months I was about to give up hope on ever being pain free. I finally made an appointment with Dr. Chelsea, and within weeks, my issues were taken care of!
I am so grateful that I found Dr. Chelsea last year while pregnant with my third baby. We proactively made a plan to start after my delivery, supporting my goals to return to exercise and everyday life safely post- delivery. She is so knowledgeable, professional, yet made me feel so comfortable and at ease.
I saw Dr. Chelsea Mancuso for pelvic floor PT and could not be happier with my results and progress! I came in pretty distressed and a little scared but Chelsea was great, super understanding, and motivated to help me get to where I needed to be with my physical health.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
