From the reviews
IF YOU ARE SERIOUS Barb is a very experienced and accomplished message therapist. I came to her practice looking for help with some specific issues. She listened carefully and employed a variety of techniques, including dynamic cupping (moving a flexible cup attached to the body with negative pressure back and forth…
Lani helped me in a pinch after hurting myself skiing. Squeezed me in same day for a 90 minute massage, and it was excellent! I get deep tissue massages often, so I had high expectations, and she killed it. I highly recommend her and Deep Roots Massage. You won't be disappointed. Going in for some cupping tomorrow!
My movement feels so fluid after getting a massage from Barb!! I'm surprised what a difference it made! I've had a few massages and whatever her method is, it's superior. She was able to target areas I didn't know needed releasing until she worked them out.
Barb is a MIRACLE WORKER! She curates personal massage regiments for each patient and truly cares about their progress in healing. She does all different types of massages depending on the needs of the individual. I would recommend Barb to anyone who needs work done, especially if it’s injury related!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
