My sisters and I came in together for my birthday and all had different but amazing experiences with our massage therapists. I had a deep tissue massage with Kaleb and left feeling like a new person.
I was very skeptical when searching for a reputable massage facility after moving to NC a year ago. However, I was in desperate need of a medical/tmj massage so I decided to take a chance and try this establishment. I have been so impressed with the staff, atmosphere and experience at Custom Therapy Massage!
What a gem! This was one of the most enjoyable massages I have experienced. As a traveler, that has constant back pains, I frequent spas or massage locations but this 90 min massage was up there with 5 star resorts (not comparing atmosphere).
Did the 120 minute medical massage yesterday with Kayla and it was absolutely amazing. I injured my back two years ago that continues to cause muscle spasms in my leg to this day. The spasms left me with limited mobility, unable to pick up my leg more than a couple of inches.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
