My son (PJ) is 12 years old. He had his first intro cupping session at zen space (which is free). I don't have a ton of money or great insurance. Zen space has worked well with my income limits. My son is already asking when he can go back!
Where do I start other than this place is a Little slice of heaven on the east side ✨ i recently visited from a super stiff side /neck pain that was keeping me up at night and within 12 hours after leaving studio would have never guessed had that issue.
Woke up with a stiff neck yesterday and haven't been able to move much or do most of my daily life duties. I called Cupping Studio/Zen Space this morning and they had appts within the hour! I had a 15 min appt with Danielle, and she worked some cupping magic!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
