I met Stephanie about 10 years ago - I had severe back pain, one of my legs was loosing sensation and mobility. Surgery was inevitable. What Stephanie did for me was remarkable - in a very personalized way she figured out how to give me much needed relief of pain and the stress.
New to the area and am so lucky to have found Stephanie. Was having some lower back issues from running and Stephanie worked with me to help relieve my pain. I have continued to visit throughout the course of the last few months to treat some other ailments and I can not say enough about how great she is.
I have been seeing Stephanie for several years now. I started after a shoulder injury that would just not go away. Having already seen doctors, physical therapists, etc., I was hesitant to try acupuncture. Stephanie was very easy going and walked me through the process. It is the only thing that worked.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
