Why Crane & Turtle Acupuncture is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “the body, needles may barely penetrate the skin or they may be inserted deep at points. The goal of acupuncture is to bring the body back into a state of health by correcting the imbalances at the root of the disorder. Cupping Cupping…” source →

From the reviews
I came to Crane & Turtle after being recently diagnosed with arthritis in my neck and back, carpal tunnel and nerve impingement which was causing pain and significant loss of strength in my forearms. Not to mention headaches. In short, my body was crying out for relief.
I struggled for years with chronic neck and back pain. Like most, I defaulted to Western medicine for a cure/treatment. But after years of unsuccessfully managing the pain, my supervisor recommended, and finally convinced me to look into acupuncture.
I have been getting Accupuncture, for severe environmental allergies, as well as body injuries since 2009. I've worked with a number of acupuncturists over the years but none of them compare to Jun. She focused on one issue at a time and I really saw the benefits and results.
I read a book on Traditional Chinese Medicine as well as doing a lot of online research before I sought out an acupuncturist. I have been managing symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis for about 2 and half years and I was not satisfied with the options presented by my doctors.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
