Why Costa Acupuncture is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “ieve optimal health. Our affordable rates make acupuncture treatments available to more people, but more importantly, it makes it possible for our patients to come in more frequently for treatment. From the reviews
Transferring my review from their last location to this new location. I received a recommendation to this place by a physical therapist from the hospital next to their old location. The physical therapist told me that lower back pain is very hard for them to heal and that I should try acupuncture.
I was suffering horribly from sciatica. I mentioned to a friend what was going on and he suggested I try accupuncture and PENS and recommended Costa Accupuncture, since he has known of them for years. I called David and he saw me on the same day!
The treatment and level of care and consideration I have experienced from David and Michelle has been outstanding and it's such great value! They deliver far beyond what any other acupuncturist (and many other health treatments) provide and genuinely care that they are healing you.
BEST ACUPUNCTURISTS EVER! I discovered Costa Acupuncture several years ago on New Years Eve day when I had a bout of vertigo and every place was closed, and David treating me! He was FANTASTIC and I never went back to the acupuncture school I use to go to.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
