“The immediate relief I experienced after just one session with Josh was absolutely transformative.”
“Josh is an extremely sensitive and attuned practitioner who provides excellent care and has a remarkably poetic way of explaining concepts of Chinese medicine.”
“He explained each step, the reasoning behind it, and checked in to make sure that I was comfortable every step of the way.”
From the reviews
I am about a year late leaving a review but it really matted to me to express my appreciation for Josh's care and work. Josh was my acupuncturist for about a year, while he practiced at Little Dragon Wellness in DC and helped me with stress and anxiety management, digestive system care and overall wellbeing.
There is a reason I have an acupuncturist , and that’s because it works. I’ve had regular acupuncture for over 8 years, and my husband and I are currently living in an RV and traveling around for two years. I desperately needed treatment for my shoulder , and my acupuncturist in Maryland referred me to Joshua.
As someone who has never had acupuncture done before Joshua was the perfect introduction. He was very patient, kind, and answered any questions that I had. He explained each step, the reasoning behind it, and checked in to make sure that I was comfortable every step of the way.
I like writing reviews for businesses that either wow or worry me. Usually I would think to write a review on my own, but I didn't this time. I've been seeing Josh 2-4x month since October '24 and he has never once mentioned to me to write a review, because he's not that kind of human.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
