From the reviews
I had a wonderful acupuncture experience! Chris was so caring and very good at explaining exactly what was happening during each step of my appointment. He was calm and reassured any anxieties I had. After my first acupuncture appointment I have had a lot more mobility in my shoulder and a lot less pain.
I recently had the pleasure of seeing Chris for acupuncture at Complete Acupuncture and I can confidently say that he is one of the best practitioners I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Chris is not only kind and compassionate but he is also incredibly skilled at what he does.
When I went in to see Chris, I was totally down in the dumps for many reasons. Chris LISTENED to my woes and began treatment. I have been going regularly. I feel so much better both physically and mentally. It is a process but so worth it! For some reason I had lost my sense of smell so he treated me for that.
I have been a chiropractor for 30 years. Chris has those qualities that go beyond thorough knowledge of his work and make him a "healer". He is a terrific listener. He is truly empathetic with his patients, and he has a gentle method in applying his skills that puts one at ease... and yes, you'll feel better!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
