From the reviews

I had arthroscopic knee surgery & had been to Columbus Physical Therapy many years ago with my daughter & had great success with their services so I decided to try them again and believe me they did not disappoint. They scheduled me an appoint almost immediately after I called.

I attended a health fair and stopped by Columbus Physical Therapy booth because I had seen the clinic notices in the Choice for free clinics on back and hip pain. They were very friendly and said they would talk to me one on one at the Physical Therapy Clinic and made an appointment for a consultation a few days later.

After shoulder surgery, I spent four months in physical therapy with Sara, and I couldn’t be more grateful. She did an outstanding job helping me manage pain, regain my range of motion, and rebuild strength. Her knowledge, encouragement, and positive attitude made a huge difference in my recovery.

Columbus Physical Therapy is the best in town. I have used them several times for my back, knee, now hip and back again. As a matter of fact my daughter and her sons also use them, with great results. They don’t let you over due your exercises and help you through them.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
