From the reviews
Anya is amazing! She has helped me with everything from stress to recovering from a broken neck. She is very professional, yet everything is personalized for you. I highly recommend her to anyone who is interested in acupuncture and/or cupping. She will change your life!
Anya has been treating me with acupuncture/cupping/herbs regularly now for two years and I'm not sure what I would do without her! I first saw her to treat general stress, anxiety, sleeplessness, and any activity-related injuries caused by running, hiking, biking, snowboarding, etc.
This was my first experience with acupuncture. My wife thought it could help with my shoulder pain. I had already done physical therapy, which helped, but I had stopped progressing. Anya was welcoming and answered all of my questions.
I was referred to Columbus Herbs and Acupuncture, and specifically to Anya, by a close friend. I have always been an anxious person and I've tried a lot of different things to help with my anxiety. Acupuncture has been the best therapy that I have found to decrease my anxiety.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
