From the reviews

Dr. Sarah was wonderful from day one. Her intake questionnaire was very in depth in order to cover all aspects of daily life and health history. That, along with a detailed in-person review during our first session prepared her for a good understanding of where to begin.

★★★★★ — Janice, Aug 2025

Dr Sarah is amazing! I have very bad herniated L4, L5 arthritis in my spine and my thoracic spine. I thought my last resort was to have spinal injections for the pain. However I found Dr. Sarah and I’ve had amazing results from the acupuncture and cupping. And she doesn’t just stop there.

★★★★★ — Vanessa, Mar 2024

Dr. Sarah truly wants to help and takes the time to listen to all of your concerns. She helps devise a plan with your health, both mental and physical, at the forefront. I've been feeling so much better after starting to see her and plan to continue.

★★★★★ — Kate, Dec 2024

I was very pleased with a handful of consultations. Dr. Giardinelli has been extremely helpful, over time, in personalizing my vitamin regimen according to my unique needs.

Booking hijama (wet cupping) at Collective Health Center

Collective Health Center comes up as a provider that offers hijama — wet cupping, where the skin is lightly punctured after suction so a small amount of blood is drawn. If you're booking hijama specifically, a few things are worth asking before you go. First, sterility is everything — a reputable practitioner uses a fresh, single-use kit (new blades and cups) for every client and follows clean, gloved technique. It's completely fair to ask how they handle this. Second, many people booking hijama want a same-gender practitioner — ask whether that can be arranged. Third, ask about aftercare and whether they observe particular days if that matters to you.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
