From the reviews
James is an absolute master at giving massages. He is so kind and welcoming. He takes his time and always make sure you are fine with the pressure. He is professional and will relieve some of the aches and pains. I always recommend him to friends who are in need of a massage therapist that will go above and beyond.
I recently moved to the area and have been looking for a new massage therapist. James had availability so I decided to book a massage with him. He was very thorough and gave one of the best massages that I have ever had. My only regret was that I didn’t book a longer appointment.
I recently had a Marquess massage here, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The salon was clean, welcoming, and had a relaxing atmosphere. James was professional and highly skilled, making sure I felt comfortable throughout the session.
James is the BEST at what he does. He is very compassionate, he listens to you, is very thorough, and I have always left feeling like I can conquer anything!! He is THAT good!! Funny, kind, respectful, and just a great person to be around.
Booking hijama (wet cupping) at Collage Massage
Collage Massage comes up as a provider that offers hijama — wet cupping, where the skin is lightly punctured after suction so a small amount of blood is drawn. If you're booking hijama specifically, a few things are worth asking before you go. First, sterility is everything — a reputable practitioner uses a fresh, single-use kit (new blades and cups) for every client and follows clean, gloved technique. It's completely fair to ask how they handle this. Second, many people booking hijama want a same-gender practitioner — ask whether that can be arranged. Third, ask about aftercare and whether they observe particular days if that matters to you.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
