From the reviews

I travel frequently for work (2–9 flights a week), and after a long day dealing with a painful kink in my back, I decided to try Sakura Spa—and I am so glad I did. From the outside, the spa looks fairly simple, but don’t let that fool you. The inside is clean, and welcoming—and the real magic is in the experience.

It was my first time visiting Sophie's spa and it was clean, inviting and so comfortable. I came for a last minute massage and Body scrub after work. I work in an office and always have back and should pain. She was very attentive and checking in on me. It was my first time getting a full body scrub and I loved it!

You all this place is a hidden gem! It’s so cute and unique. Beyond the cleanliness, Helen is absolutely incredible. She radiates pure joy. My body is usually tense by default, but something about Helen and the atmosphere she’s created made me feel completely safe and cared for.

The owner is a wonderful lady who took great care of me when I was suffering from tennis elbow and shoulder pain. Normally, I visit my regular massage therapist, but I needed a last-minute appointment, and she was available to help me. She was very attentive and focused specifically on the areas that needed work.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
