Why Chapel Hill Massage is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “uch since 2010. Her philosophy is rooted in the belief that our fast-paced, stressful world needs more therapeutic touch and healing positive energy. From the reviews

If you haven't booked a massage with Danshel yet, you're missing out. She's so talented, I've joked she should have her hands insured for a million dollars — and I mean it.

★★★★★ — Sharon, Apr 2026

I have been seeing Danshel for over two years, including through an uncomfortable pregnancy, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. She is professional and her prices are extremely reasonable, but the greatest gift of her work is her presence.

Ahhhh-mazing. I am very particular about self care and massages and I found Danshel in Sept 2021. My life and body is truly better because of her and Chapel Hill Massage. Wonderful location, very relaxing, warm and inviting, quiet and peaceful and my 90 minutes of pure bliss.

★★★★★ — Connor, Oct 2025

I have been seeing Danshel for 90 minute massages monthly for about 3 years now and I can’t imagine getting my body work anywhere else at this point. She is so kind and compassionate and provides an incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating massage, I look forward to it every time.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
