From the reviews
I have been seeing Stacy regularly for eight years. Stacy is very friendly and professional. Stacy has expertise in a number of therapeutic services (acupuncture, bodywork, cupping, herbal medicine) and will sometimes mix and match them for beneficial effect depending on your concerns and issues, which is really…
Stacy is a wonderful practitioner. I appreciate his vast experience and dedication to the healing arts, he offers a variety of modalities to find the best personalized approach for treatment. He is warm and welcoming and very generous with his time and expertise.
Stacy Hewitt has helped me in so many ways. I am a 3rd year acupuncture student - and Stacy's knowledge of the art of acupuncture comes from over a decade of helping people in his busy practice.
I went to Stacy Hewitt based on a recommendation from a friend, because I suffer from bladder spasms which keep me up all night. Western medicine has gotten me no where. As a pharmacist, I was incredibly impressed with his knowledge of OAB and current western medicine approaches.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
