From the reviews
I came to the appointment with a 3 day tension headache and feeling some body strain and stress. I Left my appointment feeling so much more balanced and headache free. Alexis really can sense where your tension is in your body and does such amazing massage.
I was in a lot of pain prior to hip replacement surgery. Topicals and OTC pain relievers didn't help. Alexis was able to relieve my pain and help me sleep using a combination of acupuncture and Chinese herbs. She also prescribed Chinese herbs to help speed my recovery. Great relief!!
Alexis is skilled at what she does and has helped me greatly. I don't like needles and was unsure what to expect. The process was painless(outside of my injury). She knows her stuff. Thank you!
Alexis is amazing! She took the time to really understand my needs and issues. I felt amazing afterwards and thereon. Definitely recommend Center of Balance!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
