From the reviews

I started doing acupuncture to help with my migraines and I have seen a decrease in the number and intensity of them. Along with the migraines I have been doing cupping which have relieved a lot of tension I hold in my back and shoulders. Dr. Shahla is the best and has helped me so much in improving my symptoms!

★★★★★ — Bryanna, Oct 2025

I have been seeing Dr. B for close to one month now, twice a week for severe debilitating low back pain. The amount of relief has been so incredible for such a short treatment time. I had tried many treatment modalities prior to accupuncture with Dr. B.

★★★★★ — Laura, Feb 2026

I am fortunate to have been referred to Dr Shalah as she relieved my anxiety thru her gentle, encouraging and understanding words on my first visit. The pain in my low back is gone and working on my hip that is feeling much better than it has in years! I did not want surgery and chose to try acupunct and so glad I did!

★★★★★ — Anne, Oct 2025

I have been suffering with neck shoulder and back damage from some accidents in my younger years, the pain would wake me from dead sleep multiple times a night every night for thirteen years, and nothing seemed to help.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
