From the reviews

Carie was extremely helpful with treating my ocular migraines and TMJ. I noticed a big difference over the few months she worked with me. I had so much less tightness in my jaw and my headaches improved significantly. She is extremely professional and made me feel comfortable during each session.

★★★★★ — Emily, Feb 2024

I have been seeing Carie for close to 15yrs and honestly don't know what I would do without her. Carie listens to my concerns with a sympathetic ear and applies her expertise to develop treatment plans that are best for me.

★★★★★ — Sandy, Jan 2024

Carie is an outstanding acupuncturist and a very compassionate person. I first started seeing Carie 3 years ago for my fibromyalgia and found her treatments have helped with my joint pain. Recently, I had a full knee replacement and Carie helped prepare me for the healing process.

★★★★★ — Lisa, Oct 2023

I've been treated by Carie several times over the past few years. She is an amazing practitioner. I visited this year with particularly challenging symptoms. She listened carefully and then we started on a course of healing. I am experiencing incredibly positive results.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
