From the reviews
I’ve had a wonderful experience with Michelle at Cardinal Massage. She is professional, kind, soothing, and extremely knowledgeable. I’ve had knots in my shoulders for as long as I can remember and she’s used a range of techniques (ex: massage, cupping) to help me find relief.
I've been going to Cardinal Massage for many years and have always had a great experience. There are several therapists to choose from, each offering a different type of bodywork. What is consistent always is the professionalism, experience, training, and dedication of the staff. I highly recommend Cardinal Massage.
I love going to visit Lynne, she does such an amazing job helping me relax and has a touch that makes me feel like she truly cares. I can tell she deeply cares about helping people. I have had many massages and she is definitely the best one I've ever had.
I just had my first massage at Cardinal Massage in Chapel Hill, and it was an excellent experience. My massage therapist, Jessica, was wonderful. She was very competent, knowledgeable, and pleasant, and tailored the massage to my needs. The facility is very professional, modern and clean.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
