Lily is a treasure... I found Cape Bodhi Works during my visit to the Cape last year. Lily listened to my areas of concern and provided the most wonderful massage. In fact, it was such a deeply relaxing and positive experience, that I put it on my list to do during this year's Cape visit. And it was amazing again!
I had the pleasure of enjoying a 90-minute massage with Lily at Cape Bodyworks, and it was absolutely wonderful. The space is warm, inviting, and so Zen. Lily uses all natural products, and when I accidentally booked the wrong time and day, she was incredibly kind and accommodating in helping me adjust.
This was my first time at Cape Bodhi Works. I have had many massages over the years and this was by far the best. Lily was very professional and attentive to the areas that we discussed prior to the massage. Lily‘s studio is very clean and filled with relaxing aromas.
I can honestly say this was the BEST lymphatic drainage massage I have ever had. Ashley is absolutely incredible. From the moment I walked in, she made me feel comfortable, relaxed, and confident that I was in expert hands. She spent most of the session working on my back/shoulders, and the difference was unbelievable.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
