Elham and Chris are an amazing dynamic duo!! I originally visited California Neurohealth after desperate Google searches for help with my vestibular system when I was dealing with scary vertigo. I had tried physical therapy and various other hacks, and nothing was sticking.
I am an endurance athlete in my early fifties. I have been coming to Cal Neurohealth for years for overall wellness and to maintain my peak performance levels. This practice is unique and very effective. This dynamic practice combining chiropractic neurology and acupuncture is very effective.
I first went to see Dr DeMartini for chronic upper back pain. Ihad been to many chiropractors over the years, but was immediately impressed with the time he took to understand my history, the location of the pain and how it affected other areas before doing any adjustments or manipulations.
I have a progressive neurological disease and have been a patient of Cal Neuro for more than two years. They are miracle workers! I've experienced marked improvements in speech and eyesight. They have been instrumental in slowing the progression of my other symptoms. They listen and take plenty of time when I visit.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
