Why Burlington Acupuncture is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “re attached to a device that generates continuous electric pulses using small clips. What clients say about the cupping here
“After more than 20 years of chronic back and neck pain.”
“Sharon is highly knowledgeable and has broadened my understanding of the many ways Acupuncture can support overall health and pain management.”
From the reviews
Sharon is the best acupuncturist I ever had.She is very knowledgeable, sensitive and caring. She approaches health in a holistic way , always helping me to understand the cause of my illness, and giving me tools to get better. I always leave her office feeling much better, not only physically but also emotionally.
I can’t recommend this practice highly enough. After more than 20 years of chronic back and neck pain. I tried nearly every option available with only limited and temporary relief. As the last resort I decided to try Acupuncture, and I’m glad I did. I haven’t felt this level of relief in years.
Sharon is skilled, knowledgeable, welcoming, and effective. I've had excellent experiences and deep relaxation working with Burlington Acupuncture. I highly recommend her - she has many years of experience!
Haley is a loving and Supportive Human Being. She genuinely cares to help you regain your health. We are grateful we found Haley and look forward to continue to be under her care.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
