From the reviews
Had a wonderful experience at Breathe Massage, went in because I saw they advertised a free cupping session for new clients and I have always wanted to try it, and I will definitely be back! They were very attentive and knowledgeable about the entire process which put me at ease.
JP was phenomenal. I went in for a 1hr cupping appointment as I had been experiencing soreness/tightness on back of thigh and hamstring. After speaking with him, he went over body composition and offered plenty of information as he is extremely knowledgeable .
JP squeezed me in last-minute, and did the most amazing job! It was my first time getting cupping done (on top of a sports massage) and I loved it . I felt much more loose and open after the session, feeling pumped and ready for my swim meet in 2 days! When I am back in town I will definitely come see JP again.
I’ve been seeing JP regularly for over a year now, and I truly can’t imagine my wellness routine without him. He brings not just skill, but attentiveness to each session—always listening carefully to the issues I’m dealing with and tailoring the massage to address my specific pain points.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
