What clients say about the cupping here

The things reviewers bring up again and again across 6 Google reviews — kept to comments about the cupping and the provider's care, in their own words.

🧑‍⚕️ skilled, knowledgeable practitioner 4 mentions

“Marcie was able to use her expertise to help manage the flaring pain that was very excruciating at times - preventing me from doing day to day activities.”

🌿 gentle & comfortable 2 mentions

“He made me feel instantly comfortable and was able to distract me from the needles (which aren't that bad).”

From the reviews

After years of hesitation due to my fear of needles, I decided to book my first acupuncture appointment earlier this year to help with my anxiety/stress. I am happy to say I enjoy it and have noticed a difference. My panic attacks weren't as extreme, and I was able to clear my mind during stressful times.

★★★★★ — Shannon, Jul 2023

I suffered from constant stomach issues and chronic headaches for over 5 years, and exhausted all traditional avenues seeking relief without any success. After 3 months of weekly acupuncture with Marcie, I’ve been free of my issues. It’s given me a new life; my memory has improved and so has my quality of sleep.

★★★★★ — L, Dec 2023

The commitment to promoting wellness and not just fixing one part of the body is key to acupuncture, in my opinion. Both Marcie and Karl are truly great practitioners, and I enjoy and feel lucky to benefit from the combination of their unique talents and approaches.

★★★★★ — Jan, Jan 2025

These people are amazing. Both Karl and Marcie and incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. If you are experiencing chronic pain of any kind, I highly recommend this place.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
