From the reviews
Honestly I barely leave any review, but this summer I got really sick because of the virus and Dr Elif made me Chinese herb formulation that I took for a week 3 times a day and next day I got so much better and didn’t have headache or fever anymore, I felt it helped with my detoxification as well.
We LOVE Elif and her team, and wholeheartedly recommend them to our clients. They treat the whole person, always looking for the root cause of the problem. Elif has helped so many of my clients conceive and then later aided in the labor process using a variety of modalities...
I was introduced to Dr. Elif Kuzu at Boulder Body Balance toward the end of my pregnancy. Through a combination of herbs, acupuncture, and cupping, she helped prepare my body for labor and birth. I saw her every day leading up to my induction date and she also came to support me in the hospital.
Before my first appointment with Dr. Elif, I spent countless months seeking out different remedies for nerve-related pain in my shoulder. No matter what I tried or how much I spent, nothing mitigated the pain all that much, and I became discouraged with all the money I spent searching for the solution.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
