Boston Health and Wellness and Dr. Stephanie has been such an incredible support for me during both pregnancy and postpartum. The entire team is extremely knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the work they do.

What I like about Boston Health and Wellness is the time they spend with you. They take time to listen, use needling, cupping, massage , shock wave, and exercises to help you heal. All the PT’s are knowledgeable and friendly. Dr Stefanie gets to know all the clients and is so kind!

Dr. Stefanie and her staff are absolutely amazing. I've had knee pain for years and no one has been able to help me until I came to Boston Health and Wellness. Dr. Stefanie is devoted to providing the best care possible and goes above and beyond for her patients. I couldn't be more thankful for my experience here.

I've been receiving treatment at the clinic Stoneham for some time now, and this week I had the pleasure of visiting the new unit in Wakefield... I only have one thing to say: "what a wonderful place"... It's beautiful, cozy, with a lovely view, and best of all... with the same incredible team as always...

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
