Why BodyFusions Massage is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “h a whole body plan, one which could be different from session to session depending on what imbalances or tight spots she finds. She uses a variety of supplemental treatments such as hot stones, mechanical massagers, or cupping, but she…” source →

From the reviews

I am a long time client of Christy. She truly is a massage THERAPIST focused on helping you heal. I have chronic back and shoulder issues and the first time I came to see Christy, she spent focused time understanding my issues so she could tailor her therapy to help me.

★★★★★ — J., Oct 2018

Christy has fixed my back several times after hitting a tree root in a sand trap, heavy lifting or many other unplanned back loading events

★★★★★ — Robert, Sep 2018

I’m new to the area and experiencing some shoulder and back issues. I searched for a therapist and ran across BodyFusion. I called and Christy answered. I could immediately tell she wasn’t just any massage therapist.

★★★★★ — Amy, Jun 2024

Where most practitioners ask about specific problem areas you want to address, Christy takes a more holistic approach. While she'll still look to relieve specific problems you're having if you tell her about them, she'll work on them from a whole-body perspective. And, she's efficient.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
