What clients say about the cupping here
“Before finding Body in Motion, I had been to two different PT practices that were unable to diagnose and treat the complex set of issues with my hip and back pain correctly.”
“From the first consultation, Nicole has been welcoming, professional, and, of course, knowledgable.”
“She always checked in with my goals at each session, listened to my feedback carefully, and adjusted her treatment plan accordingly.”
“Her upfront, honest, yet gentle and sensitive approach is to be commended.”
“I love that you can have personalized plans or a general workout for a STEAL of a price, and you always have access to the coaches/trainers and doctors.”
“Not only is she welcoming and supportive and will help you to create long lasting habits to benefit your health, but she is a wonderful friend to have supporting you along the way.”
From the reviews
Nicole was my physical therapist when she was still working in a clinic and despite not always being able to have 1-1 attention that is uncommon in mainstream physical therapy practices, Nicole always brought support, enthusiasm, and education to my treatment.
I am incredibly grateful for the outstanding care I received from Nicole at Body in Motion during my recovery from persistent hip pain. After struggling with it for months and feeling like I might have to live with the discomfort, I’m thrilled to finally feel back to normal.
For reference, as a former soccer player I have had two ACL reconstructive surgeries in five years and have struggled with inflammation post-op as a return to daily living/staying active. I am on my feet all day as a teacher, and coach.
Background I am a fit woman with 4 young children who enjoys running and exercising. I came to Doctor Nicole with pain in my inner right knee and rubber band pain around my ankle. The pain was so bad I couldn’t even run astound and kick a soccer ball with my young children.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
