From the reviews

Jessica is incredible! As an esthetician and massage therapist myself I understand the importance of bodywork. I had a 90 minute cupping massage with Jessica and it was exactly what I needed. I can be picky when it comes to massage. I need deeper/specific work and Jessica understood exactly what I needed.

I have a crushed L5 that is causing pain down the right side of my leg and just about the only thing that has given me relief is when I get a massage. I highly recommend!

Jessica’s deep tissue massage is nothing short of extraordinary. Her expert technique dissolves tension with every deliberate, skillful movement. She intuitively locates and works through every knot and tight spot, releasing deep layers of stress and muscle tension.

★★★★★ — Marisa, May 2025

I’ve been consistently getting Massage Therapy at Body In Balance with Jessica for over 1 year now. After having my hip replaced I needed to find the right person to help me gain stability, strength and work through pain.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
