From the reviews
Blue Moon is excellent. My neck was so stiff and sore that I could not easily turn or lift it. Mojgan is very skilled and used acupuncture, scraping, and fire cupping on my neck (back) as treatment. After several treatments, I can now get back to playing golf three times a week.
I felt cared for and comfortable the first time I walked into the Blue Moon office. Ali was so very helpful prior to my first appointment in explaining the accupuncture procedure and what to expect. Dr. Megan was kind and gentle through the whole process. No pain, no anxiety and total confidence in her skills.
I arrived at Blue Moon Acupuncture in severe pain. Megan was wonderful and took her time to address my pain. She is very knowlegable and each treatment used different techniques. She explained them as she was working and was very caring and gentle. After 8 treatments, my pain was substantially less.
my experience with Megan and Bluemoon acupuncture has been wonderful. Megan exhibits a strong ability to connect with my body and the issues going on. she is not afraid to try different techniques and uses a lot of strength and determination.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
