I had my first Reiki session over the weekend with Julie and it was incredible. From the moment I walked in, until the moment I left she made me feel comfortable, relaxed, and safe. After the session I felt incredibly relaxed but also lighter and a little sore, similar to a body massage.
I highly recommend Blackbird Blessings! The atmosphere is great as are the practitioners! Andrea gives the best massages and really listens to what you need as a client. I make sure to book monthly visits, and anytime I have an ailment she knows just what to do. I always leave feeling like a new person!
Andrea the owner is amazing. Many people say they do reiki but you really need to find the right person who is invested in their work of reiki healing. Trust me, you will feel it here. She is very caring, kind, and knowledgeable about her reiki practice.
I absolutely love this place. I ended up doing a monthly “subscription” to help with headaches I was getting frequently. I then found out I was pregnant and Andrea was incredible with making sure I could continue my massages while pregnant. I was going 2X a month and both Kat and Julie are incredible.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
