From the reviews
The care I have received at Beyond Physical Therapy, is by far the most superior physical therapy I have ever received. (And I have received a lot!) I sought PT with Claire while I was recovering from cervical disc replacement surgery.
I am so thankful for Claire. I went to Beyond PT for help with my knee pain. What I liked about working with Claire is she knew I needed to rehab more than just my knee to be pain free. She had the freedom to work with my body as a whole to bring the strength to all areas that needed work to walk pain free.
We were referred to Dr. Claire at Beyond Physical Therapy after my son sprained his ankle playing baseball. After an initial eval, she quickly identified the weak areas and has worked with him over several treatments to build his ankle back up.
Three months ago I had a freak accident and broke my knee cap. I knew I didn’t want just anyone to help me with PT for this injury. I wanted someone that truly cared. Claire goes above and beyond. I love that she includes dry needling and myofascial massage to the areas needed.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
