This clinic used to be in a strip mall and relocated to a new area at the hospital. Yes, I agree that when it was on Sargent Street it was not very great. Now that it has moved, it is much better. Staff is friendly, facility is clean. I have been here a couple of times and never was disappointed in my care.
My family has utilized the clinic at least half a dozen times. Each time they've been friendly and as fast as they could be. They've also taken care to make sure our questions are answered and I'm comfortable with the treatment plan.
Timing was good as no one else was waiting, got right in, saw the Dr and my prescription was called in and ready before I got to drug store. Everyone was very friendly and I could tell the Dr cares.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
