From the reviews
Dr. Paulmeyer, as well as his nurse Michele, is absolutely outstanding. Dr. Paulmeyer explains information in a manner that is easy to understand and process. A total positive experience.
This visit was for an outpatient procedure. My experience with BCH is it is a clean, competent, and caring facility. I choose BCH over big box hospitals in Lincoln for my family's primary care needs.
I have been to the wound clinic at BCH 2 different times. They are always friendly and professional. The listen to me and suggest options that help me heal and also help me continue daily activities as much as possible. They are easy to get in contact with for anything I need or to answer my questions.
The facility is new, very clean, front desk staff are professional and courteous. See Dr. Castillo and she is an excellent doctor, who is very knowledgeable and caring. Glad have been able to find someone that takes time to listen and help provide treatment options based on our needs.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
