From the reviews
I have been seeing Liza for a while for treatment. I love the new office! It’s so easy to walk in on ground level and the new flat top table with a warmer is so comfortable. I recently was away on vacation, when out of nowhere I was in excruciating pain and had numbness in my leg where I was unable to do anything.
My experience with Liza at Beacon has been a wonderful journey. I followed her from her previous place of employment because of the connection I felt with her and her deep seated knowledge of the workings of the mind and body and how it’s all linked together.
I recently have had problems with sleep, neck pain, hot flashes, grief, stress, and concussions with head aches. After 2 appointments with Liza all of these conditions have improved. She is professional, compassionate, and takes the time to listen to me and really understand my concerns.
Liza is amazing! She is professional, yet kind and caring. Her knowledge of the human body is incredible. I always look forward to my appointment with her because I am so relaxed and have little to no pain when I leave.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
