From the reviews
Yesterday, I could barely move my neck. Today, after an amazing massage and cupping, I am pain free and mobile. Thank you so much, Rachael! I am a new person.
I've been coming to Rachael for over a year. She is the absolute best! She really customizes your massage to what you need and how your body responds to her work. I've never had a "cookie cutter" massage with her! She also asks great questions to get to the core of what's going on with your body.
I have been seeing Rachel on a monthly basis for almost 2 years now and I don't know what I would do without her! Her space is as warm and welcoming as she is. Rachel takes the time to listen to you while also “listening” to your body. I always leave feeling better than when I came in and fully refreshed!
Rachael brings the healing arts to a whole new level. She truly listens to her clients and helps them to listen to their own bodies. She brings healing to the body and to the spirit. Treat yourself, you deserve it.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
