From the reviews

I highly recommend Balika Balanced! This is first experience w acupuncture and was a bit hesitant to try it, but know I'm in great hands w Daerielle! I've suffered olfactory dysfunction, which is what initially brought me here.

Balika Balanced Acupuncture was wonderful. I have no idea why it took me so long to do! She made sure I felt comfortable and safe throughout the entire appointment, which really helped me relax. She also took the time to talk with me and made the experience feel very welcoming and easygoing.

I just started doing acupuncture with Daerielle in the last year. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable, but each time I go there I feel deeper healing then a massage. As a cheerleading coach, mom and tumbling instructor, I do ALOT with my body... especially my back and shoulders...

★★★★★ — Alyssa, Mar 2026

Daerielle is amazing! Very professional, knowledgeable, and knows how to make someone who’s new to acupuncture comfortable! Her education in nutrition beautifully compliments the treatment as well.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
