I came here because my neck had been sore for a few days, and the massage really helped. The therapist took time to ask where I felt the most tension and adjusted the technique based on that. The environment was quiet and clean, and the staff were polite and cheerful. Overall, it was a very pleasant visit.
Incredible massage with Eva! She somehow knew all the places that needed work and focused on those, while still making sure to do a whole body massage. The use of hot stones was a lovely touch. It’s a clean and lovely space, I felt relaxed from the second I stepped into the lobby. Will be back!
Absolutely amazing deep tissue massage by Lulu today. This was my second visit to Aura, and I’m so glad to have found this neighborhood gem. Clean, quiet, relaxing with kind and talented professionals. I’m pretty sure I came out taller after having some persistent knots really worked out!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
