From the reviews
…We started with doing sound healing to help let go of anxiety to relax, then during the massage she did cupping, an acupressure mat & face steam with a herbal mixture which was very therapeutic. She was thoughtful and checked in during the massage.
…The combination of a mindfulness massage, cupping, and hot stones was definitely my jam.
…I’ve experienced yoga and massage/cupping. Her presence is calming, caring, kind, and positive. She makes sure she knows what you need/want and is reflective on her process as well, always wanting to make her clients have a great experience. I’m so glad to have found you in North Branch- thank you for being you!!
I was first made aware of Alex and her yoga/wellness offerings through a mutual friend last fall. Being a yoga instructor myself, I had been searching for classes in styles I was less familiar with in an attempt balance out my own practice.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
