From the reviews
Stopped by while visiting the area. The wellness side is super comprehensive, I came for cold plunge and massage but got some acupuncture as well (and they have red lights, cupping, compression, you name it). While I was there I got to see their training area as well. What an awesome concept.
Atlas Wellness and MMA is hands down one of the best gyms I’ve been to. The coaching is top-tier, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the level of instruction is second to none.
Coach Chuck is all about making that athlete better. Even though our daughter competes under a different organization she is still treated like everyone else. They are all about improving, not about who gets credit for the improvement.
I’ve known and been training Grappling with Chuck for a year and a half now. He’s always been the most welcoming and down to earth person you could meet on and off the mat. His 20+ years of experience shows with his ability to speak clearly and teach with simple direction.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
