What clients say about the cupping here
“I was able to pitch again pain free after dealing with the injury for months leading up to my time there.”
“Kathy took the time to thoroughly evaluate the injury and created a personalized treatment plan that evolved as the season progressed.”
“I came in with pain in my arm from softball and when I was explaining my pain Kathy was so attentive and I could tell she really wanted to get me healed as soon as she could.”
“The 1 on 1 rehab and training time - in addition to the therapy portion, she went over each exercise and made sure he knew how to do it correctly.”
From the reviews
My daughter is a Level 10 gymnast who began seeing Kathy for physical therapy after suffering a broken ankle and multiple muscle and tendon injuries. Although she had already completed traditional PT, she was still struggling—she could barely move her foot and couldn’t return to her gymnastics skills.
Everything positive you read about Kathy is true. She's the best health care person I've ever had the pleasure of working with. My baseball playing son, Ian, had shoulder pain this winter. We took him to an ortho. He did not believe there was a serious tear, and he suggested Physical Therapy. Great!
If you have a youth athlete, Kathy is an absolute game-changer! My son plays travel baseball and as the primary catcher he puts an immense amount of stress on his body. After a knee injury, we brought him to Athletic Edge and Wellness, and the experience was absolutely incredible.
We are so happy to have been referred to Kathy when our son had arm pain associated with a baseball throwing issue. We were impressed with Kathy for so many reasons but especially 1. Her honesty and integrity - after his evaluation she said he would need 4-5 sessions and he was dismissed after his 4th appointment. 2.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
