From the reviews
I highly recommend AthleCare! They have many options for whatever physical issues their clients have. Dry needling, cupping, hot and cold plunge, etc. Every one of their staff members is caring, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable.
I absolutely love Athlecare and their employees! !All the professional workers are incredibly talented and know how to help solve the issues I have with my body. After back surgery five years ago, I have had bouts of instability with my hips and leg that have permanent nerve damage.
As a college athlete, recovery is everything, and Athlecare has been a game changer for me for the last 3-4 years. The team is super knowledgeable and genuinely cares about what you need. They take the time to understand any issues you're dealing with and tailor every treatment to fit your specific goals.
This place quite literally has become my second home! The fact that I can stop in any day without an appointment makes it so easy and on top of all that, the whole team is just an amazing group of people. Justin and his team truly care about the wellbeing of everyone they meet.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
