What clients say about the cupping here
“These two professionals are IT!”
From the reviews
I have seen Allison and Daniel for years now. I would highly recommend Allison for accupuncture. She is flawless in her work and it’s made a dramatic difference in my life for sure. And Daniel’s massages — good God!!! I have recommended him to several folks and he never disappoints.
I’ve had two acupuncture treatments for with Allison at Athens Wellness Collective for tight, neck and shoulder muscles. I’ve struggled with this issue for many years and tried many treatments, but the acupuncture with electric stimulation has been amazing. I’m finally beginning to get some relief!
Very professional healers. I see Allison and Daniel, and will soon see the midwife for my lady health💜. I have followed them from their old location. It’s clean and I always feel pampered. 10/10 recommend!!
Seeing Allison at Athens Wellness Collective was an absolute treat. I felt welcomed, listened to and very well cared for! I just left and can’t wait to go back!!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
