I've been going to see Dr. Amy for about three months now for a variety of reasons, including: a shoulder injury, grief, sleep issues, congestion, and a bout with the flu. My ortho doctor wanted to fill me up with steroids for my shoulder, the general care doctor wanted to give me antibiotics for the flu, but Dr.
My mother's health immediately began improving even after first session. She is 80 years old now and has lost over 40lbs, diabetes under control. Thank you Ms Amy for your kindness, expertise and healing touch. Highly recommend acupuncture treatment for any condition.
I have suffered from lower back pain for many years, the pain has worsened in the last few months. I tried many different pain medications, but I still have a lot of pain. A friend recommended this office. I was amazed at the relief I received after just a few weeks’ treatments.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
